There is a time for flawless ‘Instagram skin’ and there is a time for ‘no-makeup makeup’. The minute I tried these sticks I realized those moments are no longer mutually exclusive. You guys, these 4-in-1 (not a typo) HD Mineral Foundation Sticks go on flawlessly to create a beautiful ‘your skin but better’ canvas that lasts all day. Now let’s take a step back and talk about the 4-in-1 deal. I honestly don’t always LOVE a multi-tasking product because I find that they tend to do one thing really well but leave me wanting in other areas. These sticks surprised me because they do it ALL and they kind of crush it. I’m talking foundation, concealer, highlighter and bronzer and it’s all pretty flawless. Now I am going to state the obvious, you do probably need more than one stick to get a full look. I tried 5 colors for research purposes and can really create a look with 3 sticks — case in point: my makeup in these photos.
I am wearing three sticks in these photos. All of them blend together so seamlessly leaving behind a completely natural finish. When I ordered them, the colors looked slightly darker than they come off on the skin. I’m actually wearing Buff 6W for foundation, but I originally thought I might need something lighter like Sand or Fresco. I applied the foundation really lightly and it looks like skin, basically undetectable but way more even which I love. You can build the coverage when you want more and it always looks and feels weightless. Chai 8N is on temples and the hallows of my cheeks as a bronzer and I have Sand 4W to highlight and conceal. My favorite thing about these sticks is that no matter what time of year it is (or how aggressive I get with my spray tan) I can customize the perfect color with a little blending.
Obviously, these sticks put in some work when it comes to providing flawless coverage, but it’s also worth mentioning that they provide skincare benefits too. It’s meant to be an extension of your skincare and it really does work like that thanks to hyaluronic acid which is a hydrating super-star that I don’t want to live without. I ALWAYS use it in my skincare and really notice a difference in how tight and even my skin is and also how moist it stays. I can’t see this, but I know skin is better able to defend itself against environmental age-factors and pollutants with hyaluronic acid too. I rest (and hustle) easier knowing when it’s not fighting these toxins, the skin remains less wrinkled, brighter, and bouncier longer.
