I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t begun nesting. Now that we are this far in, I’m guessing it’s not happening. Aside from ensuring the necessities: car seat, bassinet, stroller, chilled chardonnay (hey, it’s been 9 months… I’m planning on having a glass the night we get home from the hospital) are secured, it’s safe to say this ‘nesting period’ has been spent taking care of other things (like Harlowe). I know at the end of the day, as long as the baby is loved and fed, everything else will work out so I don’t get too stressed out about it, but there are some things I really want to accomplish before he comes.
As for unnecessary (but fun!) tasks, documenting our family of three, plus bump was fairly high on my prep list. Harlowe turned four this month and her Baby Brother is moments from making his debut so what better time snap a few shots for the family album? We rarely have photos of the three of us because it’s always KW or I behind the lens and this will be the last time we’ll be just the three of us.
Our photographer would tell KW and I to look at each other and Harlowe would say, “You guys, look at me!”
