We all love when retailers we already love run specials that are too good to pass up. I call that a ‘CANT’ situation (can’t afford not to) and this one is really one of those. Mala Prayer is having a buy one get one sale plus free gift. Sure, they’re running a great special this summer, but what really drives me to share their products is the philanthropic and humanitarian efforts Mala Prayer is hyper-focused on. Crafted and knotted by hand – their malas are ethically handmade by women in impoverished communities. Each piece made serves to enrich the lives of women entrepreneurs by providing them with access to money to invest in their business, homes and community.
The just breathe bar necklace is one of my favorite pieces of theirs because it’s simple, chic and helps be chill the heck out. As a working mom, things can get stressful with a capital S especially when I don’t do my best job prioritizing and wind up having to multi-task beyond my abilities. This necklace reminds me to breathe, take some time to myself for a little meditation and I can come back to the task(s) at hand stronger. There’s more to it than giving your body the oxygen it needs to survive. As you observe and become more aware of how you breathe, you’ll have more control which allows you to feel more relaxed and connected, which is better for your overall health.
The inspire/respire bracelet is another favorite that reminds me of my mission to inspire busy women to live their best lives. It keeps me going when things seem overwhelming and I lose sight of my business or personal priorities. I am wearing it here with my love beads that are made up of three stones; all of which I think we can all use a little more of from time to time:
- Lava Bead is known for its grounding qualities, it’s perfect for calming the motions as it brings calming but intense energy
- Rose quartz is the stone of unconditional love and infinite peace. It is the most important crystal for the heart and the heart chakra, teaching the true essence of love.
- Agate cleanses and stabilizes the aura, eliminating and transforming negativity. It’s cleansing effect is powerful at the physical and emotional levels as it raises consciousness and links into awareness of one’s life.
I like to stack the inspire bracelet with all sorts of mala bracelets depending on my mood. Here I have the Peridot bracelet to commemorate both kid’s birthday month: August and the Rose Quartz stones which are commonly used to bring unconditional love and compassion. I even sleep with a rose quartz stone in my bed because who doesn’t need that?
Do you wear mala beads or any jewelry with intention or use stones? Which ones have worked for you?
