As you may know, the family and I went to Alaska earlier this month for a family wedding. It was a magical (and relaxing) experience and I am so excited to share some photos we took on our journey around Ketchikan.
We found starfish on the beach at Totem Bight Cove. The Badger’s little hat is from Carinhoca.
Rain boots were a staple as was this trike.
We found a great local haunt to quench our coffee cravings and picked up some chocolate and caramel covered popcorn at Yukon’s Popcorn Emporium.
I rotated between my Hunters and Nikes depending on the weather. Contrary to the way I dress at home, vacations are all about easy and comfortable uniform dressing.
The Badger was all about dressing up. She wore her older cousins’ shoes more than her own. Behind Harlowe’s shoes, you’ll find her Great Uncle’s Xtra Tuffs, which are effectively the Alaska state shoe. My Hunters (see below) were a surefire way to tell I was not local.
Braids helped me avoid the frizz that comes with rainy weather.
Wearing chambray, camo pants and packable Hunters. I highly recommend these boots if you need to travel to a rainy destination. Oh, FYI to the few of you have mentioned you love my camo pants, but can’t find them at J.Crew; they have a verrry similar pair at J.Crew Factory 50% off.
We’re all dressed up for the nuptials! (Btw – The entire wedding was flawless and super fun.) I’m wearing a J.Crew shirt, Chicwish skirt and ShoeDazzle shoes. The Badger is in a Tea Collection dress (Psst: they are having a huge sale that ends today!) and H&M moto jacket and Saltwater shoes.
