Is there anything easier (or breezier) than a soft, maxi dress? I think not! I spotted this one at Marine Layer, my go-to spot for basics. In fact, my whole family acts as evangelists to Marine Layer, ever since they opened their first store in SF. Now four years later, Marine Layer has expanded in a major way, but every step of their production process still takes place in California. It’s heart warming, really.
My only gripe is The Banker has been known to mope around for a day or two whenever one of his coveted tees developed ‘bacon neck’ after a dozen uses. I was sure to bring that up the the sales team when I popped in. They assured us they’ve solved the problem and reminded us that it is not terribly easy to create the world’s most absurdly soft – and durable – tee in just 4 years. Point taken.
This dress is perfect for weekend strolls downtown with The Banker and The Badger. I paired my maxi with a denim jacket (boy, does this thing get used or what?) and a colorful scarf from my latest Socialbliss Style Box.
