Why I am Flipping Out Over Olay Foaming Whip Body Wash

My friends at Olay asked me to test-drive their new Foaming Whip Body Wash and since testing skincare products is legit one of my favorite hobbies, I was thrilled to oblige.

Foaming Body Washes
Okay, so foaming washes are having a major moment right now and Olay is at the forefront of the trend with their Foaming Whip for obvious reasons. With movements like #selfcaresunday cropping up and millennials like myself demanding more than the status quo from every product from tampons to bras, it’s no surprise companies like Olay would set out to add a little more luxury to everyday products like body wash. Luxury they did create. You guys, washing with this stuff was a serious upgrade to my shower routine. When you dispense it into your hand or loofa, the first thing you notice is the luxe swirl of froth. It definitely feels indulgent when compared to the gel most of us are used to squeezing out. The scent is reminiscent of a refreshing fruity cocktail, true to whichever scent you’ve picked up. My favorite is strawberry and mint and most of my opinions are based on that can because I’ve used that one the most.   Olay Whip
One of tests they suggest you put the body was through is awill it flip?’ test, so research I did. You guys, it DOESN’T fall or drip off your hands when you flip it. You may be wondering why might that be important in the shower (I was inquiring the same a few weeks ago) it’s more than just for fun. It keeps me from inadvertently wasting product due to it sliding off into the abyss/drain. Since we are all demanding more, why shouldn’t showers be a little less wasteful? On another note, if it did fall off my hand when flipped it certainly couldn’t be so light and airy or delightful.
Foaming Whip Body Wash Review
Shower tricks aside, I’d say the best part is that it leaves skin feeling very soft. Like, so smooth you could skip moisturizer if you aren’t scaly like me. The moisture comes from glycerin which according to a little chemistry research I did is another name for propane (the 7th ingredient in Olay’s foaming whip body wash). Glycerin is a humectant that can be naturally derived from plant oils. As a humectant, glycerin works to moisturize the skin by drawing water from the air into the skin and forms a protective layer that helps prevent moisture loss just like your favorite hyaluronic acid, but this comes without the steep price tag.

As with any product I share, I wanted to test this thoroughly before boasting about it with you guys, so I’ve been using this daily for 4 weeks. Luckily, I’ve still got enough of this bottle to last me for at least one more week because a little goes a long way. I’ll most definitely use this ’till the last drop. You can find the Olay Foaming Whip Body Wash in-store at Walgreens or on Olay’s website for $4.99.
