After two kids, saying my life has changed a lot is an understatement. Sometimes I wake up in a puddle of pee left by an uninvited guest (my son) and sometimes I don’t sleep at all. Not sure which is worse. There are times I step on Hot Wheels which trust me, always happens barefoot when everyone is asleep so you can’t even squeal and then there are times I get to step in to a swimsuit and on to sandy beaches with no kids in sight. The latter moments are few and far between, but oh. so. cherished. When one of my best friends announced she was getting married in Mexico I immediately thought of the relaxing beach time The Banker and I would get. Different from the lovely, but stressful beach time we get here in LA where there’s lots of chasing, some anxiety and inevitable sand in someone’s eye. This time we’d have an all-inclusive drink in hand and nobody constantly asking me for snacks, plus we’d be surrounded by some of our very best friends. Oh, that. Shit, I thought when I realized said friends are fit, hot babes with sexy swimsuits and aftermarket parts that make Em Rata’s perfect rack seem average ugh and…. they LOVE taking group photos. I needed some cute suits and I needed them now.
I wasn’t shopping last year, which made this a little tricky, but I was fortunate to receive some gifts just in time for the trip. Not just any gifts though. We’re talking well-made, flattering, comfortable AND stylish swimsuits that sucked me in in all the right places and accentuated curves where they are – which for me, LBH is the bottom half. What I love about both of these two is the amount of coverage. While I don’t mind a sexy suit every now and then, it’s a lot more practical for me to have some coverage because #momlife and these provided that and were cut to lengthen – something this 5’4″ frame appreciated.
