Truth be told, an abundance of athleisure in my wardrobe has been the norm since the day I turned in my Google badge. After life in corporate America, there wasn’t not a huge need for pencil skirts or blazers and loungewear probably makes up 50% of my wardrobe. The other 50% does not get worn often. Quarantine has been a huge adjustment for all of us in soooo many ways, but I feel relatively lucky that working from home for the last 3 years has benefitted me in preparing me for the past (almost) 12 months of quarantine uniforms. Am I productive and thriving working from home WITH my kids and husband nearby (and often in the same room)? Not even close. I still need help with productivity levels and staying focused, but my wardrobe was prepared for this and at this point, I am okay with that.
What I’m wearing:
Track pants / leopard sweatshirt /sports bra / sweat pants / hooded sweatshirt / black sneakers / white sneakers
I know this hasn’t been a walk in the park for anyone and my heart breaks for those who have lost loved ones during this time. I can’t wait for this all to be over and have been doing my best to think of the good things that have come of this. A few for me personally below and I would love to hear /read yours in the comments too.
Things quarantine has been good for:
1. More time with the family.
2. Lots of beach time and outdoor time in general.
3. Practicing my writing skills.
4. Reading more and joining 2 book clubs! I’m poring over this book now and it’s so good! A lot of TMI moments that I appreciate.
5. I’ve gotten lots of practice cooking (which I needed) and am really enjoying eating in more and being in charge of what I eat.
6. Time to learn a new skill! I got my nutrition certification at the end of last year and am now a certified nutrition coach (more on that soon).
7. Less driving! It’s not only great for the environment but when I do have to drive there is far less traffic.
I hope you’re staying positive and dressing comfortably. If you’ve lost someone during this time my heart sincerely goes out to you and I am sending you so much love and light. Thank you for reading.
