This weekend was packed full of fun. On Saturday, we celebrated two great friends with a gender reveal party (it’s a boy!) Sunday, we woke up at 4am Sunday (yes, intentionally) to run the Men’s Health Urbanathlon as part of Team Polo Red. 11 miles (and half a dozen muscle aches) later, we joined our friends for brunch (they were kind enough to watch Harlowe while we ran and kindly accepted food as payment!)
By 1pm on Sunday, I was running on empty. While incredibly grateful I have the opportunity to occasionally have a social schedule filled with events and celebrations, I do require ‘me time’ and the holidays approaching makes that is especially true.
After our weekend adventures, I rewarded myself for completing the urbanathlon with chocolate covered strawberries. You can make them at home using melted King Sized Hersey’s bar – just melt the chocolate in a sauce pan, dip strawberries in and stick them in the freezer for a few minutes! I picked mine up at Safeway.
