I welcome the challenge of finding stylish clothes that the kids can play in. I discovered Vonbon on Instagram and pretty much became obsessed with their unique black and white patterns. All of their pieces are classically trendy so I was surprised to discover that the entire collection is made with sustainability in mind. Vonbon uses only eco-friendly, non-toxic inks and the fabric is all organic and sooooo soft. They are truly fashion-meets-function pieces that I will dress my littles in until they can’t squeeze in to their clothes any longer.
Speaking of squeezing in, Harlowe is a big four-year-old — we’re talking 85th percentile for height — and Vonbon’s cute dresses stop at size 3. I figured I’d missed the window of opportunity to dress her in their clothes, so I reached out to the owner/designer, Jennifer. She told me their dresses have been worn by 5-year-olds and suggested wearing a size 3 dress as a tunic. She was right…a tunic with tights is a super stylish solution.
How cute is that horse pullover though? I had a few horses when I was a kid and they are such special animals. They will ALWAYS have a place in my heart so if there’s horse print anything I have to have it!
Harlowe wants to touch her baby brother ALL the time. I keep telling her he likes kisses on the feet and the back of the head to keep her from pulling on his limbs. This baby gets more kisses on the feet than anyone on Earth.
Before heading to dinner, we stopped to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
