Toys, candles, athleisure. Three things you can be sure I’m buying this holiday season. Comfortable outfits are always on my mind — it is one of my favorite categories to gift because, well, I have tried it all and feel confident in giving someone the best. For the past few years (since leaving my corporate job in 2017), I can’t say there is anything else you’d catch me wearing unless I happen to be playing dress-up with one of the kids where I’d be wearing a tiara and a bedsheet as a dress which always happens to get accessorized with a sword that serves as a weapon or a wand depending on the child currently ‘in charge’.
When I am not playing dress up or wearing my daily uniform of workout clothes, I am loving these Glam On pieces adidas just launched. They’re equal parts comfortable and polished for the moments when we do leave the house. You may have already seen my Holiday Gift Guide for this year which features ideal pieces for outdoor workouts as well as the perfect loungewear for cozy holiday celebrations. You know I am a fan of their stuff and there is a reason: they just keep exceeding expectations. Their new ‘city lights’ collection is amazing because it’s thoughtfully created to be the perfect option for day, night (before LA-county curfew), and everything in-between. We are talking cute, but functional skirts and stylistically evolved Stan Smiths that are the work-from-home answer to the beautiful snakeskin boots I am seeing all over my feed. (Okay, I want the boots too but can’t justify them under these circumstances.)
These outfits seem more practical to me, but still lend a bit of style to your daily wardrobe. I really love the on-trend tops from the editor-approved two-tone long sleeve tee to the LA-appropriate millennial pink, cropped tee. I really felt put-together in both of these outfits in a way that admittedly, I hadn’t for a larger portion of this year than I care to admit.
